Pros

Good pay. Good benefits. Many career opportunities if you’re in the right place. Bonuses based on well the company does. No layoffs.

Cons

Forced overtime. Strict attendance and other rules. Lower management greatly affects your chances of success. That can be good or bad depending on what area you’re in.

Pros

The best company I’ve ever worked for hands down. Alabama really is behind the times on pay and benefits in my experience. Honda in Alabama is an exception to that rule. We work a lot of hours, especially in my role, but that’s great for me personally. One of the best work environments I’ve worked in (AC in plant), great cafeteria, etc. There’s even a free gym down the street for employees. Besides the great pay, great pay progression, and plenty of overtime, this company goes above and beyond to provide great insurance, 401k, production based bonuses, 2 scheduled shutdowns per year, and pto. More than that, the culture at Honda is centered on building up the associates in any way possible. I’ve genuinely never worked for a company like this, and hope they continue improving the culture they’ve created thus far.

Cons

Can be congested at times, there are a lot of people in there, but that’s just par for the course. Also, leaving and entering the parking lot is pretty wild sometimes.

Pros

Pay is ok for the work. You are expected to know various areas when you have never been trained.

Cons

No matter what kind of work you do if you are not under the age of 30 you will be stuck in the position. No mentorship at all, very little training opportunities.
