Pros

Health / Medical Benefits are good. You have a job for life if you work here. It's impossible to get fired (regardless of what kind of job you do).

Cons

Poor leadership. Very difficult place to work these days. Workload on salaried associates is almost unbearable. No signs of improvement anytime on the near future. Lost dozens of salaried people the last two years and there are no backfills. There really seems to be a lack of direction and leadership.

Pros

The best company I’ve ever worked for hands down. Alabama really is behind the times on pay and benefits in my experience. Honda in Alabama is an exception to that rule. We work a lot of hours, especially in my role, but that’s great for me personally. One of the best work environments I’ve worked in (AC in plant), great cafeteria, etc. There’s even a free gym down the street for employees. Besides the great pay, great pay progression, and plenty of overtime, this company goes above and beyond to provide great insurance, 401k, production based bonuses, 2 scheduled shutdowns per year, and pto. More than that, the culture at Honda is centered on building up the associates in any way possible. I’ve genuinely never worked for a company like this, and hope they continue improving the culture they’ve created thus far.

Cons

Can be congested at times, there are a lot of people in there, but that’s just par for the course. Also, leaving and entering the parking lot is pretty wild sometimes.
