Pros

It's a paycheck-average pay, but not worth the insane pace you have to keep up with. The only good reason to work here is for medical benefits.

Cons

Insane pace of production line. You literally do not have the time to wipe sweat from your brow, much less get a drink of water-even when the fountain is only 10 feet away. I honestly believe, because of the speed of the line, they dont't care if you live or die. Yet some people have jobs where they spend half their time leaning on car hoods and talking. I see almost half the people on these hectic lines-who are at least 50 years old. And then, they disrupt your family life-by rotating your shift every 2 weeks.

Pros

The best company I’ve ever worked for hands down. Alabama really is behind the times on pay and benefits in my experience. Honda in Alabama is an exception to that rule. We work a lot of hours, especially in my role, but that’s great for me personally. One of the best work environments I’ve worked in (AC in plant), great cafeteria, etc. There’s even a free gym down the street for employees. Besides the great pay, great pay progression, and plenty of overtime, this company goes above and beyond to provide great insurance, 401k, production based bonuses, 2 scheduled shutdowns per year, and pto. More than that, the culture at Honda is centered on building up the associates in any way possible. I’ve genuinely never worked for a company like this, and hope they continue improving the culture they’ve created thus far.

Cons

Can be congested at times, there are a lot of people in there, but that’s just par for the course. Also, leaving and entering the parking lot is pretty wild sometimes.
