Pros

Affordable healthcare insurance 401k Dental Vision

Cons

The biggest insensitive was that we’d get to lease a brand new car (Honda or Acura) every 2 years regardless of your level at an extremely low bi-weekly cost. Honda covered your insurance and when you leased the vehicle you didn’t have to provide a down payment nor go through financing. The program is going away. We now have to lease or buy like everyone else with a small discount.

Pros

The best company I’ve ever worked for hands down. Alabama really is behind the times on pay and benefits in my experience. Honda in Alabama is an exception to that rule. We work a lot of hours, especially in my role, but that’s great for me personally. One of the best work environments I’ve worked in (AC in plant), great cafeteria, etc. There’s even a free gym down the street for employees. Besides the great pay, great pay progression, and plenty of overtime, this company goes above and beyond to provide great insurance, 401k, production based bonuses, 2 scheduled shutdowns per year, and pto. More than that, the culture at Honda is centered on building up the associates in any way possible. I’ve genuinely never worked for a company like this, and hope they continue improving the culture they’ve created thus far.

Cons

Can be congested at times, there are a lot of people in there, but that’s just par for the course. Also, leaving and entering the parking lot is pretty wild sometimes.
