Pros

Honor was founded on a good mission and works hard to try to keep that mission going. There are a handful of people in the company that stay true to the mission and really care about the Care Pros. They make an effort to take care of the care professional staff and non care staff. Free lunch, fully stocked kitchen and nice working space contribute to that.

Cons

Throughout the last couple of years, I have seen Honor bring in management that has done the absolute worse for the organization. Along with not having the proper skills to people manage, most “managers” are overworked and have limited availability to truly support their direct reports. The culture has become hierarchical and focused on building a status within the organization, compared to actually building an inclusive and cohesive workplace. Honor has built an environment that lacks transparency and where people feel extremely undervalued and overworked. On top of that, there have been continuous layoffs across multiple departments so that leaves employees worried about their job security. They let go of employees that have been with the company for years and show no type of loyalty for those that have worked endless hours to help grow the organization. Instead of investing in the growth and development of their employees, they continue to over-hire for useless roles and do not promote within. The HR department does not warrant approachability and tends to cater to and protect upper management, instead of doing what’s best for hard working employees.

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback about your experience at Honor. We’ve grown a lot in the last few years and, as any growing business does, we have to continuously re-evaluate the right structure we need to support our clients. Unfortunately, that often leads to really hard decisions around changing or eliminating roles. No one here take these decisions lightly and we do our best to communicate and execute on these decisions with the highest degree of care, thoughtfulness, and empathy.

Pros

Coworkers are great because you're going through the same thing together. With that being said, proceed to the cons

Cons

Where do I start? - Poor Management - Poor Leadership - Poor Operations - No room for growth - Extremely small pay - No overtime pay but expected to work 14 hour days - Zero work life balance - Can't go to your Manager with a concern without being placed on a PIP because they're ready to fire anyone for no reason - Turning Homecare into Amazon - Can care less about the Caregivers. PAY THEM MORE!!!! They claim to but they can really care less about them - To put the cherry on top, they like to approved requested time off and then reverse it after being approved and tell you that you can't go on your approved time off because you need to work holidays.
