Pros
Mission:
I'm at Honor because of our mission: better care, together. Better care together is a nice three word phrase, but is also incredibly difficult, specifically in this unprecedented time. However, I feel that in our small corner of the (homecare) world that we really are making a difference, for the better, in our partners, clients, and carepro’s lives. The task at hand is messy, chaotic, often painful, & not easy. It rarely just works out without some complex problem solving, but I have no doubt that this quest to provide better care is worth the effort.
Colleagues:
I have never consistently worked with such smart and caring colleagues who not only help with complex work problems, but also have my back as a person. Honor hires people with interesting backgrounds who are empathetic and kind. They make weathering these storms worth the while.
Cons
This is not a 9-5 job. The topics and issues we work with are challenging and often emotionally intense. If you do not already have a strong foundation of self care (and even if you do!)- this will place will push you to your limits. Perspective is everything, and it can be easy to lose that when you’re working with very specific details.
