Pros

Hotel Equities is a different kind of hotel company to work for. They care about their associates and are a family. This does not mean that we aren't held accountable to work hard and produce results but at the heart of it all, we are a family. There have been a lot of changes recently but that happens when companies grow. There are many opportunities for myself as well as others in the company to progress in their careers.

Cons

The biggest challenge recently has been communication with all of the change. As I stated above, there are always challenges when a company grows and that has happened here. It is getting better every day and people are willing to listen to your ideas about how to communicate better. New ideas are welcomed.

Pros

A really positive and supportive place to work. The people make a big difference. There’s a strong team culture and a lot of support across departments. You can tell the company cares about developing talent, and there are real opportunities to grow if you’re willing to put in the work. Leadership is accessible and open to ideas, which isn’t always the case at larger companies. It also feels like the company is heading in a good direction and continuing to evolve.

Cons

We're growing, so sometimes things can feel a little like processes are still catching up. You might have to wear multiple hats depending on your role, which can be a pro or con depending on your perspective.
