Pros

Working for HouseCall Pro is a joy and a privilege. HouseCall Pro has a fast-paced and ever changing environment. You'll never be bored if you work here. I've learned so much and can't wait for what I'll learn tomorrow. I love working alongside great people who care as much as I do about providing world-class customer service and delivering a great product every day. I know that I care about my colleagues and they care about me.

Cons

No retirement options yet through the company, but they've worked really hard to implement great benefits in the past year. We have Dental, Vision, and Health which is such a rarity in today's job market.

We are committed to being transparent - you deserve to know how we are performing financially and how we are doing as a culture, so continue to expect that we will share our employee survey results just as much as we'll share our growth metrics. We want you to be able to provide feedback on all fronts so we're both accountable and so we can improve our performance as well. The other point you mentioned is integrity. That is a guiding principle in the company, as you've seen. Be a Good Human. That's a simple ideal and one that is quite easy to deliver on, particularly when you have awareness that the actions you take have such a profound impact on others. We hire people that we believe will invest in the teams they work with, who will set goals together and who will be accountable, collectively, for reaching those objectives. What we've found is that in order to own that kind of goal setting and reaching those results, it starts with trust and integrity. Thanks for the great feedback and for being a part of our team.

Pros

Great people below executive level that want to do their best work. Full remote work. Working with customers that actually make a difference in the world.

Cons

Hustle culture without the hustle pay. Way below market salary but executives expect top company output. Fear based. Executives pivot every week, if not multiple times a day and it creates immense thrash. CTO is completely disconnected from day to day work, talks in abstract most of the time, and when they do mention something about actual work, it's completely disconnected from the reality of people doing the work. Top talent has been steadily leaving the company. Process is whatever the executives decide that week. The current product is mediocre at best and most attempts from talented people to make it better either are ignored or when agreed upon, the rug gets pulled out from underneath a couple months later when the executives get cold feet. If you want to work at a company and make a difference, this is not the place to do it. Promotions and pay increases are non-existent unless you work 14+ hour days, amplify whatever the current executive flavor of the week is, and put your head down and just execute on someone else's poorly planned ideas. Everyone is pretty miserable currently and most people are only still there because the current job market is not great.

We're sorry aspects of your experience haven't reflected what we strive for, particularly around compensation and direction consistency. How pay aligns with expectations and how strategic shifts are communicated are concerns we want to understand better. We'd love to hear more; please reach out to your manager, the People Team, or any senior leader you're comfortable speaking with. -Housecall Pro People Team
