Pros

1. Some coworkers are genuinely nice people and make the environment bearable. 2. You can learn a lot about what NOT to do in business

Cons

1. Low Pay: Compensation is well below industry standards, and raises are almost nonexistent. 2. Inexperienced Management: Managers are often hired without any actual management experience. It’s clear promotions are based on favoritism rather than merit or skill. 3. C-Suite Cronyism: The executive team is essentially a white boys' club, filled with friends who just hire one another. Employees suffer because they weren’t hired for their leadership. 4. Lack of Diversity Commitment: It’s known that diversity isn’t a priority for the company. This attitude trickles down and creates an unsafe, exclusionary culture. 5. Bullying Leadership Style: Management thrives on intimidation and bullying rather than providing constructive guidance or support. 6. Profit-Driven at All Costs: The company cares about one thing only: making money. Employees and their well-being are seen as expendable in pursuit of this goal.

Pros

Great people below executive level that want to do their best work. Full remote work. Working with customers that actually make a difference in the world.

Cons

Hustle culture without the hustle pay. Way below market salary but executives expect top company output. Fear based. Executives pivot every week, if not multiple times a day and it creates immense thrash. CTO is completely disconnected from day to day work, talks in abstract most of the time, and when they do mention something about actual work, it's completely disconnected from the reality of people doing the work. Top talent has been steadily leaving the company. Process is whatever the executives decide that week. The current product is mediocre at best and most attempts from talented people to make it better either are ignored or when agreed upon, the rug gets pulled out from underneath a couple months later when the executives get cold feet. If you want to work at a company and make a difference, this is not the place to do it. Promotions and pay increases are non-existent unless you work 14+ hour days, amplify whatever the current executive flavor of the week is, and put your head down and just execute on someone else's poorly planned ideas. Everyone is pretty miserable currently and most people are only still there because the current job market is not great.
