Pros

- Decent product that's really only suited for small businesses - Positioned because it is *cheap* - Lots of features - Adaptable to different industries - Zero outbound prospecting for AEs - Aggressive discounts and promos to get people to try it

Cons

YOU DON'T GET PAID ON HALF YOUR SALES - Sales periods are two weeks in which you have to hit a an MRR qualifier before you can collect any commission. The qualifier is roughly half of your expected sales so you're doing half the work for free - Base salary is pathetic - Benefits are not great - Terrible lead generation. SDRs hound leads and ask if they're interested in "growing the business" or "being more efficient." Of course every business wants those and there's rarely any additional discovery which leads to terrible prospects with no interest - Even if it's not a fit, management expects you to try and force any reason to get the sale. If it doesn't close it counts against your metrics. - Almost no interaction with any sort of leadership. Team leaders are more baby sitters than an actual manager and provide relationship outside of asking why things didn't close - Wanna take a bathroom break? Announce it to everyone so your time can be tracked - All hands meetings are 75-90 mins. 80% of them are just highlighting internal promotions or congratulating individuals on their tenure,

Pros

Great people below executive level that want to do their best work. Full remote work. Working with customers that actually make a difference in the world.

Cons

Hustle culture without the hustle pay. Way below market salary but executives expect top company output. Fear based. Executives pivot every week, if not multiple times a day and it creates immense thrash. CTO is completely disconnected from day to day work, talks in abstract most of the time, and when they do mention something about actual work, it's completely disconnected from the reality of people doing the work. Top talent has been steadily leaving the company. Process is whatever the executives decide that week. The current product is mediocre at best and most attempts from talented people to make it better either are ignored or when agreed upon, the rug gets pulled out from underneath a couple months later when the executives get cold feet. If you want to work at a company and make a difference, this is not the place to do it. Promotions and pay increases are non-existent unless you work 14+ hour days, amplify whatever the current executive flavor of the week is, and put your head down and just execute on someone else's poorly planned ideas. Everyone is pretty miserable currently and most people are only still there because the current job market is not great.
