Pros
Houston ISD offers the chance to work on some of the biggest challenges facing our communities. Successful employees help kids from a diverse student body accomplish their goals and graduate college and career ready.
Cons
The work is challenging. Additionally, the workplace dynamic is changing rapidly and there is a great deal of uncertainty. There isn't a solid culture and most employees are mistrustful of newcomers. It can be hard to find your place in such a large company and many people are more interested in self-preservation than they are in what's best for students.
