Pros

Good, central location for those who live near the city. Several campuses to work on so there is usually a job available no matter what type of work you want.

Cons

This district is heavily worksheet based and emphasizes STAAR prep over real learning. Professional development is weak- limited to the two weeks before school starts. Pretty much every educator agrees that this is about the worse time to try to train teachers.

Pros

Pays more than most districts. There is possibility of growth or movement every year.

Cons

Too many changes at times. When you have a good administration, they are shipped to other schools to help, but your school has to rest and start over with a leadership.
