Pros

Great pay! Free tickets to athletic events.

Cons

Horrible pressure to pass children who were not even attempting to do the work. Admin staff allowed to harass employees. Parent able to pay into PTA fund, and students gain special privileges as a result. Money talks, not hard work and honesty.

Pros

At an EAS school, there is more autonomy. It is not so microamnaged. Free Pre-k for your kids. Available bonus pay through PFP model.

Cons

Not much coaching happening at EAS schools (for a first year teacher that may be difficult). Not all elementary schools have Pre-k so your kid may not attend the school you work at. I am finding out my new salary on THE DAY I RETURN TO WORK. Crazy.
