Lack of vision and clear direction - Teacher Houston ISD Employee Review

A Board that is more polarized and politicized than ever. The apparent racial divide is disheartening considering the diversity of the District and the infighting is childish and counterproductive. The District no longer values advanced degrees which is evident by the removal of the higher pay scale for advanced degrees. There are little to no opportunities for teacher leadership and promotion to school leadership roles is difficult to obtain. And, despite having a principal pipeline program, school leadership is not improving.
