      Many schools to choose from and room for professional growth.

      Cons

      Part of your appraisal is directly linked to test scores which is unfair. Some things are totally out of your control.

      Pros

      At an EAS school, there is more autonomy. It is not so microamnaged. Free Pre-k for your kids. Available bonus pay through PFP model.

      Cons

      Not much coaching happening at EAS schools (for a first year teacher that may be difficult). Not all elementary schools have Pre-k so your kid may not attend the school you work at. I am finding out my new salary on THE DAY I RETURN TO WORK. Crazy.
