      Pros

      The faculty was great. The relationships I formed with my fellow teachers were amazing.

      Cons

      Admins were constantly changing how they wanted things to the point we could never be ahead or have a solid foundation of what they wanted from teachers. Constantly stressed and exhausted. High turnover. The salary is good but the workload just didn’t make it worth it. Curriculum is constantly changing/being reworked. Teachers were constantly updating, correcting and creating their own lessons outside of the slides given.

      Pros

      At an EAS school, there is more autonomy. It is not so microamnaged. Free Pre-k for your kids. Available bonus pay through PFP model.

      Cons

      Not much coaching happening at EAS schools (for a first year teacher that may be difficult). Not all elementary schools have Pre-k so your kid may not attend the school you work at. I am finding out my new salary on THE DAY I RETURN TO WORK. Crazy.
