Pros

Good place to work if you are female or a minority. Good job security. Good benefits. Good work environment. All equipment is well maintained and replaced on a scheduled basis.

Cons

Pay somewhat less than in corporate sector. Upper management positions are often filled from outside sources rather than from internal promotions.

Pros

Working in a large government facility. Pay was pretty good.

Cons

Catty behavior from main superiors. They act like high school mean girls. Between their attitudes and ignorance, it was impossible to learn anything from them. HR treated college interns like elementary school children. It felt more like a field trip chaperoned by micromanaging kindergarten teachers than an internship for adults. They also can't seem to communicate without a big Barney smile plastered on their faces, no matter what the topic is. "Metro is so great," reminders every step of the way.
