Pros

Don’t deal with the public too often. Great teamwork. Variety of different systems to work with, hydraulics, circuitry, mechanical, and HVAC.

Cons

Shifts and schedules are dictated by seniority, and do not have a merit system. No matter how hard you work, you still get paid the same as the guy next to you sitting down.

Pros

Working in a large government facility. Pay was pretty good.

Cons

Catty behavior from main superiors. They act like high school mean girls. Between their attitudes and ignorance, it was impossible to learn anything from them. HR treated college interns like elementary school children. It felt more like a field trip chaperoned by micromanaging kindergarten teachers than an internship for adults. They also can't seem to communicate without a big Barney smile plastered on their faces, no matter what the topic is. "Metro is so great," reminders every step of the way.
