Pros

high turn around allows for faster advancement in seniority

Cons

You're expected to eat sleep and breath Metro. No work/life balance. Two week vacation is taken a week at a time. Those on the board work all 3 shifts within the week (i.e... Day 1 report at 3AM., day 5 report at 6PM and off at 4AM)

Pros

Working in a large government facility. Pay was pretty good.

Cons

Catty behavior from main superiors. They act like high school mean girls. Between their attitudes and ignorance, it was impossible to learn anything from them. HR treated college interns like elementary school children. It felt more like a field trip chaperoned by micromanaging kindergarten teachers than an internship for adults. They also can't seem to communicate without a big Barney smile plastered on their faces, no matter what the topic is. "Metro is so great," reminders every step of the way.
