Pros

It’s job. That’s it. A JOB. Not a career.

Cons

If you want to be micromanaged, treated like a robot, and undervalued.. this is perfect for you. If you have any aspersions of being anything more than a driver they will make it extremely hard for you. If you call off or are late 4 times in 2 years you can forget getting promoted. Yes you read it right! If you call off or are late 4 times in 720 days you WILL NOT BE PROMOTED! Even if you have the time to cover your absences. They reward their good employees with more work that’s it. And the Union is TERRIBLE!! The elections are rigged, they work for Metro not the employees.

Pros

Working in a large government facility. Pay was pretty good.

Cons

Catty behavior from main superiors. They act like high school mean girls. Between their attitudes and ignorance, it was impossible to learn anything from them. HR treated college interns like elementary school children. It felt more like a field trip chaperoned by micromanaging kindergarten teachers than an internship for adults. They also can't seem to communicate without a big Barney smile plastered on their faces, no matter what the topic is. "Metro is so great," reminders every step of the way.
