Pros

Flexibility, Benefits, Organization, Resources, Career Opportunities, Transparency I’m so thrilled I got hired here, it’s finally a company that doesn’t treat you like just another number. My on boarding process was great, and I’m impressed with the organization and resources available to employees. With that being said, it’s not an easy job and you will feel overwhelmed with the product knowledge and tons of information you need to get accustomed to. Depending on your previous skills you might have an advantage if you know design and css well, SEO, worked with analytics before , have ever run a blog and know about networking (DNS, domain management, redirects etc). These are all possible cases you have to troubleshoot and prior knowledge will make life easier for you. My own portal to test features and use the product is a definite Pro - how awesome is that? Tip: Take advantage of the courses in the academy, these are free for everyone. Continue to grow your knowledge and don’t let the pressure get to you. Don’t sacrifice your work life balance, cut your lunch short etc. even if you may not reach your goal. Crush harder on another day.

Cons

More one on one support during ramp and for new hires, resources are great, hands on support is better

My heart! Thanks for such a thorough and thoughtful review, and I'm delighted to hear you found your place at HubSpot, that means so much to me personally. I agree with you we can continue to provide more resources and support during onboarding, and our team is working in partnership with Support leadership to be thoughtful about how we scale the team and frankly manager and team lead bandwith to ensure employee success but also prevent mangaer/team lead burnout in the process, so I think and hope more good things to come based on the listening tour they just completed. I want to personally thank you for making the time to write this and for being part of our remote Support team growth--I continue to be floored and impressed by your team's contributions, collaboration, and impact on the company. Hope you're voting this week with your day off for Election Day, thanks for all you do! -Katie

Pros

Great people, everyone is so understanding and supportive. Culture is fun and energizing, people seem happy to be here. There's lots of ways to get involved outside of your day job. Awesome benefits and flexibility - love the remote first work environment, week of rest, open PTO, etc. Robust tech stack - lots of tools available for me to do my job.

Cons

Experiencing some growing pains but leadership seems receptive to feedback on it.

Pros

The teams you work with are phenomenal. The knowledge combination between an internal customer facing teams, engineering product development teams, and Sales are unmatched.

Cons

Excessive use of PIPs to oust employees after multiple high revenue launches, with no explanation, actual documentation, or factual data. Reviews have been adjusted to allow for terminations post pre-approved leaves. Salaries are a joke. You are always in a cover yourself mode 24/7. Management reviews are consistently a 2 or 3 out of 5 no matter what. If a team decides you aren’t in the group, management will put you on a “unofficial” PIP without telling you, in order to surprise you at a later date. Even if they are unfounded. Beware of possibility of negative backlash post launches. They will feel the need to assign blame ( such as for timelines or issues related to bugs). Regardless of performance or level of involvement. This is an enormous company with many large paths for career advancement. But micro management is rampant, leaving little room for doing the daily expectations of your actual role. This degrades your opportunities for career advancement.
