Pros
I've worked at six news stations across the country as an MMJ/reporter and at one point a photographer for a short time. This is the very first time I've truly enjoyed a job in news. I think it's due to quality management, the station is family owned and I feel valued. Woah, right? Hubbard also seems to promote from within which is nice.
Cons
Yes, 75K/Year (hourly at 35) is a good wage for news but still does not meet current equal pay to other content production jobs in the corporate world which is unfortunate. Many producers, photogs, and on-air talent seem to be leaving for better-paying positions outside of the industry or to be able to work from home. Like any other local news station, you are subject to work odd hours, holidays, and weekends at this station as well.
