Pros
The pay is " competitive" for the area when considering hourly manufacturing jobs. This is a union workforce so, if you have contractual issues, there will be someone to help argue your point if you feel that you have been wronged.
Cons
"Competitive" jobs in the region do not necessarily require working with molten zinc and or steel at temps of 2400 degrees. Lifting up to 80 lbs. repetitively for 8 hrs. per day is the norm if you want to find yourself in the higher paying job classes. Columbia Missouri offer similar pay for much lighter assembly jobs. Company is constantly trying to cut wages for hourly employees. Benefits are average or less. Expect to pay 100$ plus for family coverage, weekly.
