Pros

Hudl is a genuinely lovely place to work. Excellent benefits, good people, and a reasonably well-structured business. People are prioritized over product and I can say that as an engineer this is probably the least amount of pressure I have been under in my 10+ years of doing the job. There is a genuine effort to ensure work is prioritized, understood, and distributed properly to allow people enough time to find the best solution rather than the quickest. Teams are allowed slack time/20% time (whatever you want to call it) so you always have a chance to grow/develop your skills. I've personally recommended this place to a bunch of my friends now (not just developers either).

Cons

While the benefits are excellent (Unlimited leave!!!). It would be amazing if we could expand into other more common benefits like death in service, and look to increase the amount of paternity leave men are awarded: even though it's above the standard two weeks, for such an inclusive company it would be nice to see this increased so we get more time with our new family members.

Pros

-Positive Business Outlook: Users love Hudl and it's a very forward-thinking product that has a great place in the future -Values-led culture/norms: People are at the heart of how we operate -Very talented overall workforce: Our bar on hiring is super high and performance management process works if there are clear underperformers. -People genuinely get along with each other for the moist part - far better than most organizations with huge silo walls.

Cons

-Decision-making bottleneck at exec-team level with some pretty hands on leaders in the weeds on too much. -Some teams are quite top-heavy, a poor micro-culture on the team, and have less accountability than they should (Finance/Accounting specifically) -We can settle on talent in key roles that is in a key hub where we have an office since less remote hiring is approved.
