Pros

I have worked at Hudl for almost four years and I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with the level of transparency displayed by our leadership. Our management team is always open and honest about the company's goals, challenges, and successes, which makes it easy for us as employees to feel like we are a part of something bigger and more meaningful. Furthermore, the work environment is incredibly flexible, which allows us to balance our personal and professional lives in a way that works best for us. I appreciate the trust that our leadership places in us to get our work done without micromanagement, which fosters a sense of autonomy and responsibility that I find refreshing. Overall, I feel that Hudl's strategy is clear and concise, which helps us all work towards the same goals. This, combined with the high level of trust, transparency, and flexibility, creates a workplace culture that is supportive, collaborative, and productive.

Cons

I have noticed that the emphasis on autonomy can result in limited mentorship opportunities. While I appreciate the trust and freedom given to me, I do wish there were more opportunities for guidance and feedback for senior team members.

Pros

-Positive Business Outlook: Users love Hudl and it's a very forward-thinking product that has a great place in the future -Values-led culture/norms: People are at the heart of how we operate -Very talented overall workforce: Our bar on hiring is super high and performance management process works if there are clear underperformers. -People genuinely get along with each other for the moist part - far better than most organizations with huge silo walls.

Cons

-Decision-making bottleneck at exec-team level with some pretty hands on leaders in the weeds on too much. -Some teams are quite top-heavy, a poor micro-culture on the team, and have less accountability than they should (Finance/Accounting specifically) -We can settle on talent in key roles that is in a key hub where we have an office since less remote hiring is approved.
