Pros
If process improvement is your forte, HSMC allows you to manipulate the process to your liking. During my start at the beginning of 2024, there was little to no guidance or process in place for the TA Specialist. The TA Manager, David, is very helpful and encourages you to use your imagination for process improvement. You need to make sure to be extremely friendly and have relationship building skills at the forefront of your list. Lots of flexibility and the staff is overall friendly. Jennifer, at the front desk, is the nicest individual you will ever meet!
Cons
The client company, Criterion Child Enrichment, has high expectations for the TA Specialist. With the client company, there were roughly 8 program managers that I worked with - all with their own list of "high priority" job positions that needed filled. As you can imagine, one person managing that many candidates and program managers can be challenging. Unfortunately, due to my performance, I was let go of the company after just 6 months. I showed up for work one day, did my job from 8am until around 10:30am when my manager's boss showed up in our office and ask for the three of us to have a meeting. I was told I was being let go "effective immediately" and was handed my last paycheck and information on how to apply for unemployment. My manager said nothing. I packed my belongings and left.
