Pros

My opinion matters and my voice is heard. In a Fortune 100 environment, that is not often the case. But here at Humana, everyone is on the same team and I come to work each day and make a difference. My colleagues are my friends, my work is exciting, and the environment is rich in culture and success is yours if you're willing to own it. As long as my work matters, I plan to be here for many many years.

Cons

The biggest detractor about Humana is that it oftentimes feels too big of a company. Meaning, trying to push a project forward, there are too many "cooks in the kitchen." I understand the purpose of a collaborative approach, but sometimes a decision requires too many people to buy-in.

Making all the right moves to be a leader in 21st century health care.

Cons

Legacy technology and corporate structures still create friction, but improving.

Pros

Working from home, that’s about it.

Cons

Micromanaging, forced to help team members while you’re behind on your own caseload. Denied PTO requests, no PTO all summer and no PTO until the end of January 2027 (that’s supposed supposedly when they will be done ramping up with all their new employees.) a bunch of meetings weekly that are pointless. A weekly case conference where they are forcing nurses to present a complex case in front of over 300 people on zoom. Process changes change constantly, there are no job aid or guideline that help you make a Clinical decision but you will get out of it if you do it incorrectly. Save yourself the trouble and apply somewhere else. It is not worth it.
