Pros

Paycheck and that is all.

Cons

This job is soul-sucking. There is no work life balance, good luck getting a PTO day especially on Fridays or Mondays. You have to fight for it like a pack of wolves with others in same department. (even in the off season with lower call volume) Get used to your schedule changing during shift bids without management even looking at your request. Every day, every call you get a part of you dies. You see it in the strict policies in place by the Center of Medicaid/Medicare Services and having to relay said policies to the beneficiaries that keep them trapped in a health plan that is life threatening if unable to disenroll and go back to original Medicare. So many rules. If you have a MA plan you can't get out but if you have MAPD then you can, and so many bogus others that make the older population feel trapped and that's what they will tell you daily- how trapped they feel and why they can't change it. And let's not get started on the "licensed sales agents" more like crooks that will bend a hand to get their commission. This job is eye opening to how busted the system is and you will be the one to relay that daily. God speed.

Pros

Working from home, that’s about it.

Cons

Micromanaging, forced to help team members while you’re behind on your own caseload. Denied PTO requests, no PTO all summer and no PTO until the end of January 2027 (that’s supposed supposedly when they will be done ramping up with all their new employees.) a bunch of meetings weekly that are pointless. A weekly case conference where they are forcing nurses to present a complex case in front of over 300 people on zoom. Process changes change constantly, there are no job aid or guideline that help you make a Clinical decision but you will get out of it if you do it incorrectly. Save yourself the trouble and apply somewhere else. It is not worth it.
