Pros

We get an extra 30 minute break one a week.

Cons

The pay is only $17 an hour. At places like Devoted Health Care they pay around $23 an hour for easier work. For HCPR you speak on the phone all day, you do have the risk of being cussed out and yelled out. If you are fine doing that 5 days a week for $17 be my guest. The company is really anal about breaks times, how long your calls are, and even how often you go to the restroom when you are clocked in. If you are into micro management this is the job for you. Did I mention the pay is only $17 an hour? During peak you are allowed 0 days off for 3 months. Humana promotes wellness but the truth is they don’t care, they only care about their numbers.

Pros

Working from home, that’s about it.

Cons

Micromanaging, forced to help team members while you’re behind on your own caseload. Denied PTO requests, no PTO all summer and no PTO until the end of January 2027 (that’s supposed supposedly when they will be done ramping up with all their new employees.) a bunch of meetings weekly that are pointless. A weekly case conference where they are forcing nurses to present a complex case in front of over 300 people on zoom. Process changes change constantly, there are no job aid or guideline that help you make a Clinical decision but you will get out of it if you do it incorrectly. Save yourself the trouble and apply somewhere else. It is not worth it.
