Pros

The people I work with, apart from Directors, are fantastic.

Cons

If you get in with the right people, you can get promoted and chosen for opportunities. If you aren't friends with the right people, you can forget advancement. A few people at the top of the practice dictate your future and opportunities. I've been demeaned by directors and seen others demeaned by directors. No accountability. On my first day with the company, I walked into a room where a Huron director was swearing up a storm about the customer and some of the people on the project. Later, he denounced me when I couldn't support moving forward to go live with a project that I knew would be a train wreck. We've spent years cleaning up the mess. I should have quit then. Pay raises have been a joke even if you do well. 2% if you're killing yourself. Bonuses are generous but the taxation on them is ridiculous. They talk a lot about diversity but leadership is white and middle-aged who've spent their life at a consulting firm - with very few exceptions. Recent promotions reflect this same trend. Not a great place if you have a family or want to have a family one day. For now, travel is limited. Prior to COVID, there was no flexibility with travel and little understanding of what it means to have children. So, the workforce includes those in their twenties and those who have kids that are older. I've spent 5 years trying to convince myself to stay. After reading this, it's probably time to leave.

Pros

Diversity, values employees, good company culture, interesting work

Cons

Relatively flat leadership structure can be a pro or a con, sometimes would be more useful to be more unified with toolset and project workflow. Nothing major for sure

Pros

Strong, motivated teams — most colleagues are talented, hardworking, and genuinely good to work with. Collaborative culture at the team level, even when leadership falls short. Exposure to meaningful healthcare IT work and client-facing experience

Cons

Leadership on EHR has been a significant weak point, with poor decision-making that’s eroded staff confidence. Whistleblowing and internal escalation processes don’t appear to be taken seriously — concerns raised don’t lead to meaningful action. Promotions often feel driven by favoritism rather than merit or performance, which undermines morale and trust in the process
