Pros
The benefits package is excellent for a company this size. PTO is good if you can use it. Lots of flexibility as far as schedule and being physically present in the office, lots of work from home opportunities (could also be a con, as you are expected to work from home after-hours). If you're in the right group and know the right people, you will have a decent career. Young coworkers. Very diverse workforce.
Cons
Sinking ship. OBSCENELY high turnover. Pay low for lower-level employees. Heavy favoritism. Employees are often clueless of what is going on in other parts of the company or even their own division. Company acts like it is 10x bigger. They seem to waste a lot of money on expenses (especially higher up) but any spending lower-level employees do "is coming out of your bonus." Extreme favoritism toward healthcare group. PAINFULLY corporate. Feel like there is such a disconnect between upper-level management and lower-level employees in clout, pay, respect, etc. Collaboration between business units (which could be incredibly beneficial and a huge offering) is completely nonexistent. A LOT of self-promotion about how great they are and how great they treat their employees...to the point that it is annoying, especially since it is mostly lip-service. Bonuses are a joke. If you aren't in Chicago, you may as well not exist. Corners are cut in the worst places.
