Pros
very good work and life balance. I was lucky to have a open-minded, accomodating, creative manager.
Cons
no or little opportunity to work in a global setting. very conservative western canadian mindset (non-canadian, other industry experience is not as valued as western candian oil & gas experience). people are very protective and defensive about their jobs. Therefore, collaboration is not very easy at times. As the location is in Calgary, it is not a very exciting place to work as a young single professional.
