Pros

The best thing about working at Hy-vee was that the people there are great to work with. They really made the job worth coming to everyday. There was always an attitude to get your work done but have fun and enjoy what you're doing.

Cons

I think that the downside to working for Hy-vee is the limits that you can find yourself hitting. Personal and professional. It was difficult to obtain a full time with benefits position because they are so limited. If you are willing to move great distances to move up then you may be more content. I had all my family in town so I was unwilling to move state to state.

Pros

I really enjoyed my coworkers and the management of the store. There were a handful of people who worked there at the time who weren't necessarily my favorite, but overall the team was good.

Cons

There we no significant cons. The pay is not the highest, but these are mainly entry level jobs.

Cons

As a 24/7 retail business, scheduling can be demanding in some roles — though the variety of positions means there's flexibility to find the right fit. With a large, decentralized workforce spread across hundreds of locations, consistent employee communication is an ongoing area of focus and improvement.
