      Pros

      Everyday is different - no two customers are alike. There is flexibility with scheduling - most Hy-Vee's are open 24 hours so there are shift options. The career opportunities are virtually endless whether you want to be a well-informed clerk, a department manager, a store director or work in the office - you work hard and it's recognized. Hy-Vee is located in 8 different states throughout the midwest. Opportunity to work with some AMAZING people. GO HY-VEE!!

      Cons

      There are no Hy-Vee's in Hawaii so no chance of moving there :). Every once in awhile you have a customer who you can't please no matter what - this doesn't happen very often.

      Hy-Vee is a great company that truly cares about the communities we serve. Our 14 fundamentals drive both the customer and employee experience, guiding how we treat and serve our customers and each other. Leadership actively seeks employee feedback and uses it to drive meaningful change across all locations. There is a wide variety of jobs and career opportunities in many different areas of the company from retail to supply chain, IT, marketing, and so many more. obust employee benefits include tuition assistance for degrees, certifications, and foundational learning at little to no cost to employees, and the company focuses on promoting from within for most leadership roles.

      Cons

      As a 24/7 retail business, scheduling can be demanding in some roles — though the variety of positions means there's flexibility to find the right fit. With a large, decentralized workforce spread across hundreds of locations, consistent employee communication is an ongoing area of focus and improvement.
