Pros

The initial Company feeling Great deals on employee food purchases 10% discount on groceries per 2 weeks You can work with relatives Fast paced at most times Customer interaction is excellent Pay, but lacking incentive incremental

Cons

Company does not honor reviews Someone else lacking abilities for your position will be paid more, based on their "family system" No dept interaction, you cant imagine as a caterer how much pain it can be when every other dept refuses to work with you, or simply doesnt care enough too when you are preparing to serve 300 people. Managers who work in your dept will look down on you, dont take enough time to sort the bad company apples from the good, be prepared from last minute shift changes and call ins. If you tell a manager something important, be prepared to tell them all, again lack of communication could be this problem, or the fact there are seldom meetings.

Pros

I really enjoyed my coworkers and the management of the store. There were a handful of people who worked there at the time who weren't necessarily my favorite, but overall the team was good.

Cons

There we no significant cons. The pay is not the highest, but these are mainly entry level jobs.

Pros

Hy-Vee is a great company that truly cares about the communities we serve. Our 14 fundamentals drive both the customer and employee experience, guiding how we treat and serve our customers and each other. Leadership actively seeks employee feedback and uses it to drive meaningful change across all locations. There is a wide variety of jobs and career opportunities in many different areas of the company from retail to supply chain, IT, marketing, and so many more. obust employee benefits include tuition assistance for degrees, certifications, and foundational learning at little to no cost to employees, and the company focuses on promoting from within for most leadership roles.

Cons

As a 24/7 retail business, scheduling can be demanding in some roles — though the variety of positions means there's flexibility to find the right fit. With a large, decentralized workforce spread across hundreds of locations, consistent employee communication is an ongoing area of focus and improvement.
