Pros

It is a paying job and nothing more.

Cons

No real avenue of promotion and well below average starting base pay with poor to no annual pay increases. Information is rarely shared and unclear policies that change on a whim of the senior management. Unclear directions and requirements on projects that pop-up at the 11th hour. Be prepared to do everything at least 3 times over due to poor communication on project requirements. First reaction to problems is not trying to find solutions but finding who to blame. Managers do not hold any real decision making power and any decisions requires overly complicated and long senior management approval process. Budgets are set but cannot be used. There is no real sense of trust in the work place and everything is questioned on a daily basis. Compensation here is lower than similar positions at other Hyundai Motor Group companies (Hyundai Motor America, Kia Motor America). Employees are not seen as assets and treated with no real care.

Pros

The hybrid work schedule is one of the biggest benefits of this role, providing flexibility and a better work-life balance

Cons

The biggest challenge is the limited opportunity for career growth. The work is highly manual and repetitive, with most tasks focused on cleaning, organizing, and analyzing messy Excel data. There are limited opportunities to work with advanced analytics tools, automation, or projects that help employees develop new skills. Many processes feel outdated, and there is little investment in improving systems or providing tools that would help analysts work more efficiently. Management support could also be improved. When requesting time off or asking to work from home due to feeling sick, the response can sometimes make employees feel uncomfortable or guilty rather than supported. The compensation does not seem competitive compared to the workload and responsibilities. While the role requires a lot of time and attention to detail, the pay does not reflect the level of effort required. Overall, this position may be suitable for someone looking for stability and a hybrid schedule, but it may not be the right fit for someone looking for professional growth, challenging work, or opportunities to advance their analytical career.
