Pros
- learn a lot - systems in place function fairly well compared to other companies I've been in - work with great colleagues -decent benefits (industry standard or a little above)
Cons
- a lot of work is contingent on the whims of the U.S. Government, can create job instability for some - employee growth can be limited except in extremely special circumstance (e.g. policies requiring 2 years in a position before promotion, capping raises), meaning sometimes you have to leave to grow
