Pros

- Great teammates, managers, and scrum masters

Cons

- Thrown into the weeds without much training - given multiple projects on day one without any help, no senior devs to guide me - being billable is king because the government is stingy with their cash and lord knows ICF is all about looking good on the New York Times Square billboard so cash rules everything around them as well - incredibly low pay compared to other software jobs with the same skill set; friend was making $30k more than I did with the same experience - scant amount of junior front end devs...if you work on the backend, you are in a prime position to be respected. If not, you're in marketing and a frontend dev and no one gives a care about you - 50 meetings a week. How do you expect us to keep up with the demands you've placed upon us when we have 6-8 scrums/check-ins a week?

Pros

People, Mission, Culture, Technology, Remote. You work on projects and technologies that actually impact and improves the day to day lives of people around you, the community and the Country

Cons

Pay, No much room for upward mobility. If you are a high performer, you'll struggle as the structure rewards years spent in the company vs level of expertise or experience.
