Pros

It depends on the practice, but ICF generally allows for very flexible work schedules and working from home. It's also nice having a large junior staff that consists of recent college graduates. The senior mgmt is generally very smart and capable.

Cons

The senior mgmt, while smart and capable are not always the best managers. They also have trouble delegating interesting work that RAs and junior staff would be capable of doing. The work can be very boring and require very little thought. However, this is again dependent on the group you are working in. There are also signification communication issues--it is hard to know what is going on in the group aside from the work you are directly involved in.

Pros

People, Mission, Culture, Technology, Remote. You work on projects and technologies that actually impact and improves the day to day lives of people around you, the community and the Country

Cons

Pay, No much room for upward mobility. If you are a high performer, you'll struggle as the structure rewards years spent in the company vs level of expertise or experience.
