Pros
Nice office, nice colleagues - at least on my team. Period.
Cons
There is a significant lack of effective management and proper training. New employees are expected to rely on outdated instructional videos, which do not adequately prepare them for the role. The high-pressure environment, driven by poor leadership, has resulted in many team members experiencing stress-related health issues. In my team specifically, the supervisor presents herself as a “straightforward” person, but this often comes across as unprofessional and unnecessarily rude. Basic workplace etiquette is lacking—she frequently communicates in a disrespectful manner and shows poor hygiene, such as burping audibly during calls. Despite claiming to value directness, she frequently delays responses to simple questions, making effective communication difficult. These issues appear to reflect a broader culture of poor decision-making and disregard for employee well-being. Recently, concerns have escalated following reports that CEO Steven Cutler allegedly used a company-funded private jet for personal purposes. In parallel, ICON and its board of directors are currently facing a U.S. lawsuit alleging financial misrepresentation related to stock exchange disclosures and underperformance against financial expectations. Despite these serious governance concerns, recent internal communications have placed blame for the company’s struggles on employees rather than leadership. This approach has further undermined morale and trust, particularly among those who have consistently demonstrated commitment and performance under challenging circumstances.
