Pros
Comfortable office in an area with easy metro access and some nice places to eat for lunch. Good amount of diversity and you will meet some really cool characters.
Cons
Oof. The biggest con is a little hard to quantify but ultimately the atmosphere of fear, micromanagement, and gaslighting was on a level I have never experienced before. In my short time there I saw dozens of people quit or get fired on the spot. A common theme over the years seems to be that firings will happen with little prior notice, always make sure you have a backup option available just in case. Despite the recent expanded contracts with the VA, the IRS, the treasury, and Medicare (along with bunches of other entities) the employee benefits are cut to bare minimums. Less PTO, stricter metrics, and increased workload. But hey you will get a message thanking you for working OT and being away from your family all the time! Yay. On a more personal note, I just also don't agree with a CEO who uses bible verses in public announcements on Slack. Says almost everything you need to know.
