Pros
Benefits are amazing and the building is nice.
Cons
I would not recommend this workplace. Management struggles to lead effectively, and decisions often prioritize ideology (DEI) over employee development and job performance. This made it difficult to grow or succeed, regardless of effort. When concerns or problems were raised, they were ignored. Management is extremely rigid about break times and lunches—to the point that clocking in even 30 seconds early can result in a warning. This level of micromanagement contrasted sharply with more serious issues that were overlooked. In the department I worked in, many staff members lacked the scientific background necessary to perform the work successfully. As a result, there were frequent mistakes involving important patient samples. These errors were often minimized, lightly addressed, or covered up rather than properly corrected. A laboratory handling critical patient samples requires well-educated staff and strong oversight, which was lacking here. Ultimately, these issues reflect poor management, and meaningful improvement would need to start there.
