Fell short of expectations - Anonymous employee INTEGRATED ENVIRONMENTAL SOLUTIONS Employee Review

A lot is wrong here, from top to bottom and it’s really sad to see as they’ve been hiring a solid workforce and some talented minds but are ruining any sort of potential out of them with the way the company is run. The compensation plan is one of the worst I’ve seen for AE’s and SDR’s. It’s well below industry averages and there’s no willingness to take accountability on it from leadership and look to improve it. The workflow for the sales department is fragmented and not fit for purpose, leading to a ton of confusion for new hires and ultimately, a de-motivated sales workforce with absolutely no incentive to over perform with how poor the compensation is. Whilst they’re making strides in trying to break down the siloes between teams, there’s an attitude here where accountability is not well received, meaning there’s little to no communication on looking at what’s wrong with where things are and how to improve them. Feedback is listened to but rarely acted upon. Communication from employee’s to senior management is so slow, which means things move at snails pace when we want answers to things that concern us. On the flip side however, they move at lightning speed when it’s topics that are of concern for the company. Thus showing that they are less concerned about hearing from us and rather more so with giving instructions that we must fall through with immediately. When I first joined I was told that the firm acts like a startup, which in my experience, usually signifies they’re in a mode of rapid growth, which is exciting to hear. Unfortunately this is not true at all. The company recently downsized their strategic locations and are cutting their workforce very frequently, especially in the consulting sector. So they are absolutely not in “startup” mode. There’s no annual meet-ups, we have monthly calls with the wider team. On the rare occasions that there is meet-ups in specific departments, not all members are invited due to “budget constraints”, leaving a sour taste in mouths for those not invited. This is something unheard of in other SaaS firms and honestly - pretty disrespectful. I think overall the company tried to reel talent in with a lot of false promises and exaggerated claims, I see a huge number of new hires leaving in the coming months as the dust begins to settle and the true nature of the their respective roles and the problems tied to them become apparent. I’m aware of the majority of the sales department not happy at all whether that’s the SDR’s or AE’s and BDM’s and a couple from the marketing team from conversations I’ve been had with colleagues. Seems that a lot share the above concerns and are actively looking for new opportunities to leave or have found peace with doing less work than they usually would elsewhere and just accepting the storm that’s going on here, which again paints such a strong picture of the types of decisions people are having to make here. I’ve seen things here that I’ve never seen before or thought was something I’d experience at a SaaS company. Without being out of order or entirely hateful in this review, I would not recommend anyone joining here if they are aspiring professionals looking to grow and develop their career.
