High stress but treated well - Health Information Specialist INTEGRIS Health Employee Review

Working as an HIM Specialist for Integris was generally pleasant, I was always able to get time off when I needed, and my work-life balance was well respected. I felt supported by my direct management, and received constructive feedback frequently. The job itself was high stress at times due to the sheer volume of ROI requests and other tasks assigned to us. I was responsible for sometimes over 100 a day. The ROI department was centralized so although we worked at different hospitals we all worked from the same que and were responsible for ROI requests system wide (including all of the clinics and hospitals). The walk-in requests could be stressful because some patients or their family members would be volatile. Overall I greatly enjoyed the job!
