IOM abandoned staff affected by the earthquake - Program Manager IOM Employee Review

IOM does not align HR rules and regulations and staff benefits with other UN agencies. For example, there is no payment in-lieu of shipment of personal effects (either you ship or get nothing), and all air travel are in economy class, even those over 9 hours. IOM also limits the issuance of UNLP to international staff, even senior staff covering more than 1 country are denied UNLP?! After the 2023 earthquake in Southern Turkey which killed 60,000 people, IOM did not provide any assistance to staff and did not support their relocation (at least "non-essential" staff). In fact, they did not have any emergency/contingency plan in place, nor a Business continuity plan. IOM's lack of support to staff stranded by the earthquake amount to criminal negligence and was not aligned with support provided to staff of other UN agencies in the area. I cannot recommend IOM as an employer.
