Pros

Some LMs foster a high-trust environment where employees feel empowered to innovate and share ideas.

Cons

There is significant inconsistency in managerial oversight and appraisal standards across the organization. Currently, management styles are personalized rather than standardized; each change in Line Manager (LM) forces direct reports to recalibrate to entirely different expectations regarding compliance, communication frequency, and reporting depth. Specifically, the lack of a unified framework for 1-2-1 meetings and team briefings creates an inequitable employee experience. While some LMs require exhaustive pre-meeting documentation, others offer minimal guidance, leading to a 'luck of the draw' dynamic. The lack of standardized team meetings—combined with a permanent work-from-home model—has led to a diminished sense of belonging. Without regular touchpoints to connect with colleagues, the work environment feels transactional rather than collaborative.

Pros

Remote work option is nice to have

Cons

Zero support from management, with employee development and team concerns often taking a back seat to other priorities. Morale continues to go downhill, and several colleagues exploring opportunities elsewhere or leaving the organization already. The culture is challenging, particularly around providing candid feedback, as employees often are tracker down and face negative repercussions and retaliations. Career advancement depends more on aligning with leadership preferences than on merit and performance. Would not recommend this company to those seeking a supportive environment with transparent growth opportunities. Overall, the culture is political and difficult to navigate.
