Pros

- Wonderful benefits (health/life insurance, vacation and holidays, professional development, gym memberships, etc.) - Pay scale is very good - Quintiles is willing to spend money to get quality people - Very strong workforce who are very enthusiastic about what they are doing - Durham headquarters (Q Plaza) is a great place to work - Families are treated extremely well and there are often fun events for younger children - Great opportunities to represent Quintiles via charitable events

Cons

- Job responsibilities are all over the place for project management level employees - Line management in the Outcome unit don't seem to have a pulse of operations - Terrible technology - I went through 5 computers in 1 year and the Sharepoint site administration is severely lacking - A small number of employees (with extremely poor interpersonal skills) are allowed operate unchecked - Two words - bench seating

Pros

Remote work option is nice to have

Cons

Zero support from management, with employee development and team concerns often taking a back seat to other priorities. Morale continues to go downhill, and several colleagues exploring opportunities elsewhere or leaving the organization already. The culture is challenging, particularly around providing candid feedback, as employees often are tracker down and face negative repercussions and retaliations. Career advancement depends more on aligning with leadership preferences than on merit and performance. Would not recommend this company to those seeking a supportive environment with transparent growth opportunities. Overall, the culture is political and difficult to navigate.
