Pros
IQVIA spends a lot of time on innovation and focuses on growing it’s capabilities beyond it’s competitors. You can learn a lot and there are a lot of great people who work at the company. There are many different areas you can work in since the company is so large. This allows for transition from one job to another relatively easy within the company.
Cons
Depending on the group you are in, there may be absolutely no work life balance. So many people have left and it makes it even worse for those still there. Although management can be supportive, it’s just assumed that if you need to, you will work practically around the clock. Work is never done because the workload is so high. There is no additional compensation for working like this. Expect 2% increases if you are lucky. So many highly qualified, long-time employees are calling it quits and moving on. Promotions are few and far between, which leads to even more people leaving and more junior people joining. Senior leadership seems to believe this is the way to go rather than focusing on keeping highly qualified employees. Because of the lesser experienced new hires (or lack of staff), it puts more stress on those with long-term tenure. It’s a viscous cycle and they continue to lose more and more people across the entire organization.
