Pros

The job itself is easy and not a lot of pressure or hours.

Cons

The experience highly varies from team to team, and from people to people. A lot of the leadership and senior staff have been in position for way too long and their communication skills and business skills are not enough to drive the organization forward.

Dear IREXer, Thank you for sharing your experience and for your contributions during your time with IREX. IREX takes seriously your feedback regarding business outlook and organizational culture. As we continue to navigate the ever-changing landscape of development and education, our goal is to remain relevant to our customers, and operate in a way that is more integrated, more agile and more outward-looking. Our hope is to build a more dynamic model that positions us for the decades ahead. These changes could not be possible without the great work of our IREXers, and the strength it takes to continue to build the foundations to make the next chapter possible. Thank you for all that you do, and should you have thoughts, ideas or concerns, we encourage you to contact your manager or HR. Thank you again for your feedback! Kind regards, Your Global HR Team!

Pros

Flexibility for expectant parents and parents of young children.

Cons

A few years ago, the organization spoke boldly about empowering youth and championing diversity, equity, and inclusion. Yet over the past 18 months, it has quietly erased every reference to those commitments from its mission, values, and strategic focus. In a bid to align with the current administration, the organization has shifted its focus to artificial intelligence (AI), and its leadership team now reflects the administration's priorities. It presents as very inauthentic when it mutes the equity-driven efforts it once claimed were central to its identity.
