Pros

Good balance between responsibilities as long as you work for a specific program (I believe this is different when your duties are spread across different projects). High demanding and high quality. Overly bureaucratic (as per USG requirements). High space for growth.

Cons

Suffers from all US NGOs problem that people from Latin America (field staff) will find it hard to gain promotions to HQ positions.

Pros

Flexibility for expectant parents and parents of young children.

Cons

A few years ago, the organization spoke boldly about empowering youth and championing diversity, equity, and inclusion. Yet over the past 18 months, it has quietly erased every reference to those commitments from its mission, values, and strategic focus. In a bid to align with the current administration, the organization has shifted its focus to artificial intelligence (AI), and its leadership team now reflects the administration's priorities. It presents as very inauthentic when it mutes the equity-driven efforts it once claimed were central to its identity.
